Show-stopping letterpress stationery for your brand

If you're a sustainable brand looking for earth-friendly stationery that your clients, customers, and mother nature will appreciate, you’re definitely in the right place.

Small and mighty

Stationery that connects you and your audience

If your logo is the face of your business and your brand is the personality, your stationery is the warm smile that makes your clients and customers feel welcome. It’s important that your brand connects with your audience, and carefully considered stationery can help you do just that.

Whether you're just starting out or have a few years under your belt, you're the expert on your brand. So let’s blend your brand knowledge with my design and print expertise, to craft stationery that not only stands out but makes a lasting impression.

Having worked with brands of all shapes and sizes over the years, I have a knack for understanding what you need and turning your ideas (no matter how vague they may seem) into practical and beautiful stationery.

The key pieces

Business cards and so much more

If you’re struggling to decide which pieces you’d like to order, mapping out your client journey is a great place to start. Walk yourself through your entire process and highlight the touch points you have with your clients along the way. You’ll quickly see which pieces of stationery you really need – and you can always add more later.

The options are endless and every brand has different needs, but your stationery suite could include: business cards, notecards, postcards, letterheads, swing tags, product care cards, gift vouchers, greeting cards, or event invitations.

Letterpress and foil business stationery

Quality you can see and feel

Your stationery will be carefully printed, one piece at a time, with a little help from my in-house presses. With the pillowy-soft texture that can only be achieved with letterpress, and the subtle shimmer of metallic foils, your stationery will look and feel amazing, so be prepared for lots of compliments!

The design and print process

How I create your brand stationery

Whether you’re creating your very first brand stationery or looking for a bit of an upgrade, I'm here to guide you through the whole process. It’s all about collaboration and working at your pace.

  • We’ll kick things off with a chat, so I can get to know you and your brand and hear about your ideas. We can also discuss which papers and printing methods will work best, and you can ask as many questions as you like. I’ll also walk you through the creative process and my typical timelines, so you’ll know when we can start work and when you can expect to receive your finished prints.

  • After our chat, I'll put together a detailed quote for your stationery. Prices for individual elements will be listed separately, so you can see what works best for you and your budget. If you're happy with the quote, you’ll receive an invoice for your 50% deposit and your contract. As soon as I receive your payment and signed contract your place in my calendar is secure.

  • I’ll start creating your initial design concepts. If you have a brand style guide available I can use that for reference, matching fonts and colours so your new stationery fits seamlessly with the rest of your brand materials.

  • This stage is all about the details. There are two rounds of revisions included in the design process so you’ll receive digital proofs to review. You’ll also receive an artwork proof for final approval before we start printing, so you’re confident that everything is perfect.

  • Because your stationery is printed in my Derbyshire studio, I can tailor every detail to perfection. Your paper will be trimmed, your inks mixed, and each piece of stationery will be printed one piece at a time, with the help of my antique print press and vintage foil press.

  • Once I've made sure everything looks perfect, your stationery is carefully packaged so it arrives safely. You’ll receive an invoice for the remaining balance and as soon as payment is received your stationery will be shipped.

You’ll soon be holding your new brand stationery in your hands, ready to share with your clients and customers!

No minimum orders

Brand stationery pricing

The options are endless with letterpress and foil printing, so every brand stationery project is priced and planned based on your individual needs. Unit prices do decrease as you print larger quantities but there’s no such thing as a minimum order in the Sarah and Maude studio, so you’ll never need to print more than you need.

For a detailed quote I always recommend a quick consultation so let’s have a chat.

Frequently asked questions

Brand stationery

I do update my FAQs but if you have a question that I haven’t answered, let me know.

Head over to the contact page to book a consultation or drop me an email.

  • The stationery that I create isn’t just aesthetically pleasing, but also crafted with the environment in mind – from sustainably-sourced materials and eco-friendly printing to plastic-free packaging and easy recycling.

As a stationery designer paper is a big part of my work, so over the years I've curated a collection of eco-friendly papers perfect for letterpress and foil printing. These include tree-free cotton paper made using clothing industry by-product, fully recycled paper sourced from single-use coffee cups, and FSC-certified papers from responsibly managed forests.

You can learn more about my commitment to running an eco-conscious studio over on the Sustainability page.

  • Creating brand stationery typically takes 3-4 weeks, from initial consultation to holding your stationery in your hands.

  • While unit costs decrease with larger quantities there are no minimums, so there’s never any pressure to order more than you need. For first-time orders, I recommend starting with a smaller quantity, with the option to order more when you need a restock.

  • Absolutely. Samples are a great way to get a feel for the paper and print finishes that I offer, so I’m happy to send a few relevant pieces after our initial consultation.

  • If you’re struggling to decide which pieces you’d like to order, mapping out your client journey is a great place to start. Walk yourself through your entire process and highlight the touch points you have with your clients along the way. You’ll quickly see which pieces of stationery you really need – and you can always add more later.

You might also like to look through my Sustainable Stationery Guide, which offers a few simple ways to think about your stationery in terms of sustainability.

  • I don’t, so ideally you’ll have your brand elements (logo, motifs, style guide, etc) in place when you come to me. I can use those elements to create stationery that will develop and strengthen your brand style and work seamlessly with your existing branding.

  • There are two rounds of revisions included in the design process and you’ll receive digital proofs to review during the design process. You’ll also receive an artwork proof for final approval before we start printing, so you’re confident that everything is perfect. Additional changes, beyond the two rounds included, are charged at £50 per hour, with a minimum charge of £50.

  • I’d love to create bespoke designs with you, but if you have your own artwork in a workable format I’m happy to print it. To ensure the best results for letterpress and foil printing there are artwork guidelines that need to be followed, so I'll need to review your designs to confirm they’ll work.

  • Absolutely. All letterpress inks are mixed by hand so I can match as closely as possible to specific colours. I use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) for colour matching so I’ll need a PMS Solid Uncoated colour reference.

If you can’t provide a Pantone reference I can mix inks to match a swatch of paper, fabric or even a cutting from a magazine. The only thing I can’t do is match to digital swatches because screen colours vary so much it’s impossible to guarantee colour accuracy.

  • Pricing for your stationery depends on the quantity you need, and the print methods and materials you choose. For a detailed quote I recommend a consultation, so book your free chat.

  • All brand projects require a 50% deposit paid at the time of booking, and the remaining 50% balance is required before your stationery ships. This will all be outlined in your quote before any work starts.

  • Yes of course! You’re welcome to book a free consultation so we can chat about your ideas and I can answer any questions you might have.
